大井直幸が今季4勝目！
第23回東海グランプリ
優勝・大井直幸
愛知県名古屋市の『マーシー』を会場に、9月16日（日）に決勝日を迎えた『第23回東海グランプリ』。ジャパンツアーを行っているエフレン・レイズも参戦して盛り上がり見せた中、決勝戦は大井直幸vs土方隼斗のトップ勢対決となり、8-5で土方を下した大井が今季4勝目を挙げた。
会場となった『マーシー』
ベスト16戦からスタートしたこの日、大井は
丸岡良輔、
高橋邦彦、
羅立文を下して決勝に進出し、相変わらずの強さを見せる。一方の山から勝ち上がってきた土方は、ベスト16戦で
青木亮二を8-1で下した後、レイズを7-4、さらに準決勝で
赤狩山幸男を退けての決勝進出。2人による決勝戦は、ヒルヒルの激闘の末に大井が勝利した東日本グランプリ第3戦以来となった。
準優勝・土方隼斗
決勝戦で序盤からペースを握ったのは大井。バンキングをとって2連続マスワリでスタートを切ると、チャンスはありながら波に乗れない土方を尻目に着々と加点して一気に7-1とリーチをかける。
3位タイ・赤狩山幸男
しかし、このままフィニッシュするかとも思えた大井にこの日2度めのブレイクスクラッチミスが出ると、土方がジワジワと反撃を開始。3-7となった第11ラックからは手球位置を変えたブレイクが決まって2連続マスワリでスコアを5-7とする。
3位タイ・羅立文
迎えた第13ラック。ここでも土方のブレイクが決まりかけたが、手球が蹴られて難しい形が残ってしまう。大井がここから土方の残り球の難しい1番を決めると、途中ポジションミスはありながらも、これぞトップのショット力を見せて8-5でフィニッシュ。今シーズンのオープン戦初優勝を決めた。
